Seri Muka & Kuih Lapis

These are my favourite Nyonya kuihs. I’ve been trying to make them for some time but have not succeeded. The taste was always good but the texture and the look were really bad. Call me a perfectionist, but something needs to smell and look good, then it’ll taste good. Since these are my favourites, I’m particularly fussed about their taste and texture. Finally, I tried the recipe from Kuali (www.kuali.com) and after a few attempts and errors, I succeeded in making something I was satisfied with. Now, I’m in search of this kuih which I do not know the name to. It’s wrapped in banana leaf, made using waterchestnuts and coconut milk. Help, anyone? :p
